Zoe Cousin: Paul Sykes is Back On the Family Patch

Paris. Panama City. Pontefract. Pyongyang. He’s been abart a bit. But now he’s back on the family patch, and it’s like he never went away.

Join Wakefield’s infamous hardman Paul Sykes, on a journey about survival, self-discovery and being a big fish in a big pond (Wakefield is the 11th largest city in the UK, when you consider wider districts).

You might laugh, you might cry, you will learn how to punch someone in the f***ing earhole.

As seen on BBC3. BBC New Comedy Awards 2025 regional finalist. So You Think You’re Funny 2025 semi-finalist. Zoe also appeared on BBC1’s Bargain Hunt in 2021 where she made a total loss of £110. Paul has never been on Bargain Hunt, though he did have a tense clash with David Dickinson in 1998 over Paul’s claim to have come up with his catchphrase “cheap as chips”. Dickinson has refused to comment on the matter.

“Quite simply one of the most exciting character comedians on the circuit! Everyone should make it their mission to see Zoe!” Chris Cantrill, A Lovely Time
