Should Statements: A Show Brought To You By (a little) Inherited Wealth (Work in Progress)

In 2023, like a Dickensian protagonist, Lizzie Simpson lost her beloved uncle aged 69 to ass cancer. Leaving behind many a spicy VHS and a flat on the outskirts of the capital, Lizzie found herself with £20,000 and a dream. SHOULD she invest in her future? Absolutely not! A fringe show it is!

After years of toiling the London open mic scene, finally with the means to bring her vision to the unsuspecting public, this chronic oversharer with a dry yet likeable edge asks whether her uncle's retirement fund is being put to good use.

Exploring heritage, catholic guilt (without the Catholicism), body issues and butt stuff, this modern woman will make you think, laugh and sh*t your pants while supported by some of the best talent on the scene.

Hailing from the land of dreams, Milton Keynes, Lizzie was shortlisted for BBC New Comedy Awards 2024, is a 2x Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year Semi-Finalist, a West End New Act of the Year Finalist 2024, a Funny Woman Stage Award Nominee 2023, a Chortle Student Comedy Award Semi-Finalist and a WINNER in your mum’s pants. Described by experienced comic Mike Reed as “original and genuinely funny” and the Stand Newcastle as “a likeable stage presence.”
