Amy (as heard on BBC Radio 4) is a completely misguided musician who firmly believes that a degree in opera qualifies her for pretty much any job. You may pity her, you may love her, but you will definitely want to employ her. Expect a touch of delusion, lots of enthusiasm and some world class singing.
Equipped with her MIDI piano, self produced tracks and a Masters in music, this show was born from the very real, constant grind of touting for more freelance work. I will demonstrate jobs you could hire me to do including; a passive aggressive music therapist, a wanky music producer and an inaccurate music lecturer.
Although she only started comedy just before lockdown, she has quickly made a name for herself. Amy has performed extensively on the Manchester & London circuit including XS Malarkey, Frog & Bucket & Vauxhall Comedy Club as well as supporting the likes of Abandoman and Youtuber, Max Fosh. In 2021 she performed live on BBC Radio 4’s Front Row and she writes a monthly song for BBC Radio Manchester. Amy won the ‘Audience Choice Award’ at the Musical Comedy Awards (2020), was shortlisted for BBC New Comedy Award (2021) & was recently awarded the Runner Up prize at Beat The Frog World Series (2022).
