Rice Guys Finish Last (Work in Progress)

Two comedians: one Chinese (Marco), one Arab-Kenyan (EJ). It might sound like an unlikely pairing, but one thing’s certain – they’ve both had hilarious experiences trying to make sense of the world.

Expect charming storytelling, sharp one-liners and self-deprecating humour as they unpack growing up in the 90s, navigating culture, religion, sexuality and their parents.

These fast-rising London comics have performed across the country – now they’re teaming up to share their stories side by side in this work in progress show. Is it perfect harmony… or a culture clash waiting to happen?

You won’t see this mix anywhere else. How could you?

These two bring experience, energy and fresh perspectives to the stage. Whether you’re a die-hard comedy fan who loves well-crafted jokes or you’ve just wandered in looking for a laugh, you’re in safe hands.

Ticket types this year are Paid, Pay What You Want and Free - this is how it works: Paid: The show is fully ticketed and you pay in advance or on the door; Pay What You Want: You can choose to buy a ticket in advanced to guarantee entry and what to pay over a minimum amount OR turn up at the venue to get in for free in any space that is left; Free: The show is free entry and can be ticketed or unticketed.
