James Regal - People Pleaser

Can a chronic people pleaser ever get what they really want in life? Wouldn't it just be more fun to be an arsehole to everyone instead? Fresh from a successful run at Edinburgh Fringe, James Regal, recounts a life spent avoiding confrontation - from pretending to understand Spanish, to Covid marriage struggles and a cringeworthy sex club faux pas.

Winner of Dov's Best Jewish Joke of the Edinburgh Fringe 2024.

'Sharp and witty' (Michelle Wolf).

'One of the top joke writers we've seen coming out of Europe' (Brian Moses, Roast Battle).

'Loose, raw, and genuinely funny, with stories that somehow manage to be both wildly

specific and totally relatable.' (Edinburgh Audience Review)

Ticket types this year are Paid, Pay What You Want and Free - this is how it works: Paid: The show is fully ticketed and you pay in advance or on the door; Pay What You Want: You can choose to buy a ticket in advanced to guarantee entry and what to pay over a minimum amount OR turn up at the venue to get in for free in any space that is left; Free: The show is free entry and can be ticketed or unticketed. Watch the show, and the performer will ask for donations at the end for those that would like to contribute.
