James Danielewski - Rainbow Trout

James Danielewski is a comedian who is proud to live in Brighton and less proud about having been raised in Grimsby. He left his hometown having never quite fit in, but after 10 years in Brighton he still has a lot of unanswered questions - is it okay for a gay man to make fun of another gay man's 'gay voice'? Should he really have been in the room for another man's medical exam? Why are all the adults in Brighton wearing dungarees at work? Should he really have washed his fingers in lemon juice before that one-night stand? And is cod really inferior to haddock?

Some might say that as a man in his mid-thirties James has left it a bit late in life to try and figure this stuff out, and they’d be right, because James is forty. But come and watch him try to explain being a fish out of water in two very different towns, and why that fish is almost certainly not a a trout.

He doesn’t have any fancy quotes from professional comics describing him as ‘comedy’s next big thing’, probably because he's only five foot seven, but he does have a voice note from Larry Dean telling him to go **** himself.
