Gerry Carroll: Light

Have a laugh! Gerry Carroll - Light brings you a delightful, true and entertaining personal story about being a 71 year old human. And clown.

Gerry is 71 and he’s made a show of himself. It’s about being young and being old. He uses story-telling, clown, song and dance to create a unique hour of fun.

Born in Dublin, Gerry moved to Bournemouth in 1986, taking a job in a local council office. In 2013, having retired, he moved to London to train in improv, stand-up and theatrical clown. He acted with and was trained by the Old Vic Community Company, 2014 – 2017. He’s already made five Fringe shows, and this one is his most personal. Gerry is lucky to be an energetic 71-year-old who mashes up clown, stand-up and internal auditing in a wonderful way to entertain audiences of all ages.

“Light” has been in development since November 2023. This is Gerry’s most personal show yet as he uses his “charmingly defiant” style (Chortle, 2021) to bring you an hour of laughter.
