After concluding a successful preview run at The People's Improv Theater (The PIT) in New York City on July 15, 2025, Joyce Lao’s highly anticipated musical comedy variety show, “#40sandsingle – The Secrets to Finding Love!”, is now preparing for an extended two-week run at the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2025, followed by a performance at the United Solo Festival in New York City in November.Originally conceived as a pilot for a comedy series, “#40sandsingle – The Secrets to Finding Love!” is a vibrant and witty exploration of modern romance, featuring a unique blend of musical comedy and variety elements. Lao, a multi-disciplinary performer, created the show as a vehicle to combine all her passions (excluding her love for scuba and freediving) into a dynamic 50-minute theatrical experience.The preview run at The PIT demonstrated the show’s broad appeal and Lao’s captivating stage presence.
