Hurly Burly

Hurly Burly – a tumultuous 5 piece Brighton based originals band, formed in the summer of ‘24.

Singer songwriting brothers, Ian & Steve Carley create a unique brand of acoustic/percussive folk-pop, laced with skiffle, ska and a hint of punk.

Ear-worm melodies, Paul Heaton-esq lyrics and 4 piece vocal harmonies, Hurly Burly are a mix between the Housemartins and Mumford & Sons, engaging the crowd delivering an exciting festival vibe.

Performing on several dates at The 2025 Brighton Fringe along with their regular gigs they also busk around the streets of Brighton. An exciting toe tappin’, thigh slappin’, hand clappin’ band of brothers not to be missed.

Hurly Burly are:

Ian - vocals/acoustic guitar

Steve - Cahon/snare/percussion

Rob – Guitar

Stu - Bass

Matt – Violin
