Dean T. Beirne: Fated to Pretend

Get ready for Fated to Pretend, a hilarious, heartwarming ride through the life of Dean T. Beirne, a misfit who’s spent his whole life trying to fit in.

Growing up in the foster system, moving across continents, and navigating the chaos of adulthood, Dean’s spent years pretending to be the ideal version of himself—but now he’s ready to drop the mask. If you’ve ever felt like you were faking it, if you ever pretended to be the cool kid, or tried to impress a new crowd only to end up more lost than before, this show’s for you. Expect laugh-out-loud moments about awkward school days, failed attempts at reinvention, and finding humour in the struggles of being different. It's a celebration of the weird, the wonderful, and the unexpected heroes we all become.

As seen on BBC One, BBC Three, and Dave.

"So funny and likable, a future star." - Larry Dean

"Dean is as assured an act as I've seen in years. Great stage presence and wonderful writing." - Mark Nelson
