Finland's reigning "Comedian of The Year" Kaisa Pylkkänen debuts at the Brighton Fringe with her comedy special "No Penis, No Knowledge". The show is a rapid-fire exploration of what it is for a feminist to be brought up by the teachings of Freud and the Church, yearning for the confidence, only having a penis seems to bring one.

Kaisa's previous international work includes performing at the Hot Water Comedy Festival in Liverpool, the Laugh Riot Grrrl comedy festival in Los Angeles, the Reykjavik & Tallinn Fringe festivals, as well as various clubs around Europe and the US.

"There’s something in her movements that feels a little like a caged tiger: under control but only just. Kaisa Pylkkanen doesn’t just want us to laugh, she wants us to think.”

- Tallinn’s Nigh Light

Pylkkänen is also known for her well renowned work as a screenwriter in Finland. She released her debut novel in January 2023.
